Harvey Nichols Fifth Floor Cafe to be refurbished
Harvey Nichols' Fifth Floor Café will undergo its first complete refurbishment in 20 years this month.
It will reopen in late November with a bigger, open plan space, and a new interior alongside a new food and drink offering created by a team overseen by executive chef Jonas Karlsson.
EDGE Architecture + Design, London-based interior architects and designers, have been brought in to design the new interior.
The Knightsbridge department store's café will be given a new horseshoe-shaped Espresso Bar with its own enlarged seating area with high tables and oak bar stools.
The main café area will also offer a variety of seating areas, from leather banquettes running along the side and by the floor-to-ceiling windows, to more open seating in the central space.
The new flooring will be in a herringbone pattern in complementary shades of white oak, and light and aged elm.
There will also be a new open plan kitchen, clad in white and gold tiles.
