Hibiscus chef McGuinness joins Auberge du Lac supported by Anthony Demetre

Chef Marcus McGuinness and Anthony Demetre have joined Hertfordshire restaurant Auberge du Lac as head chef and culinary consultant respectively.

Anthony Demetre, chef-patron of the Michelin-starred restaurants Wild Honey, and Arbutus, will join him as culinary consultant.

Speaking about his new position, Marcus McGuinness said: "I am excited to be taking over the helm at Auberge du Lac and hope to take this very successful award-winning restaurant to new heights, with the benefit of my experience and the proven acumen of Anthony Demetre working alongside us."

Set in the former hunting lodge of stately home Brocket Hall, the Auberge du Lac restaurant has three-AA-rosettes and sits next to a lake in over 500 acres of countryside.
