Hix at The Albemarle hires new restaurant manager
Scott McCaig is to become the new restaurant manager of Hix at The Albemarle in Rocco Forte's Brown's hotel.
McCaig comes to Brown's hotel from Scott's, Mayfair, where he was restaurant manager since its opening in 2006.
He has worked with both general manager Mark Hix and executive chef Lee Streeton in the past, and prior to Scott's he worked at the Palmerston, the Wolseley, the Ivy and 78 St Vincent.
Commenting on the appointment, Hix said: "We are very pleased that Scott is joining us. He is not only hugely respected, but brings with him great energy, experience and personal dedication to guests and clients' needs."
Hix and Stretton offer a menu featuring great British classics at Hix at the Albermarle, all using local, seasonal ingredients.
The 80-seat restaurant also plays host to a collection of work by leading British artists including Tracey Emin, Michael Landy and Bridget Riley.
