Entries are now being sought for the 2009 Seafood Awards, which recognise excellence across all areas of the seafood industry including restaurants and pubs.

Organised by the Sea Fish Industry Authority, the awards, which are designed to encourage enterprise and innovation, are overseen by an independent panel of judges.

Categories relevant to the hospitality industry include: the Sustainable Future Award; the Seafood Restaurant of the Year Award; the Seafood Pub of the Year Award; and the Seafood Chef of the Year Award.

The 2009 Seafood Awards will culminate in a black-tie event on Thursday 21 May 2009 at the Marriott Grosvenor Square in London.

The deadline for entries is next Friday (31 October).
