Ibérico World Tapas to open third site
Spanish tapas chain Ibérico World Tapas is to open an all-day tapas bar in Nottingham.
With two existing locations in High Pavement, Nottinghamshire, and Cathedral Quarter in Derby, Bar Ibérico will open in the former Nash Interiors building on Carlton Street in Hockley, Nottingham, at the end of August.
Menu items will include flatbreads, tortillas and charcuterie, along with Spanish beers and sherries.
The bar is owned by Provenance Tapas, the company behind the two-AA-rosette, modern British restaurant World Service in Nottingham.
Director at Provenance Tapas, Dan Lindsay, said: "It is very exciting to be launching a new tapas bar in Nottingham, bringing a different experience for those who love tapas and Ibérico. Hockley is an up-and-coming area that has seen a number of bars, restaurants and retail shops open in the past few years. It will be great to be a part of this thriving culture. Bar Ibérico will largely represent the relaxed style of Hockley while appealing to young professionals who regularly visit the area.
"I can't wait for the place to open at the end of the month and I look forward to enjoying our new venture with customers while we make another mark in Nottingham."
Ibérico World Tapas achieved a Michelin Bib Gourmand in the 2014 Michelin guide and has retained the rating ever since.
