Italian restaurant near Bath goes Thai

Nightingales Italian restaurant near Bath is to become an authentic Thai restaurant under its new owner.

The 38-seat restaurant is in the village of Lower Limpley Stoke in the Avon Valley, four miles from Bath.

The period property, which is built of stone and timber, also has three-bedroom owners' accommodation above the restaurant and a private garden to the rear.

New owner Melanie Saiswannapong comes to the restaurant trade from a commercial banking background in Thailand.

The Bristol office of Christie + Co sold the freehold off an asking price of £339,000.
