James Martin to open fine dining restaurant in Manchester

Celebrity chef James Martin plans to open a fine-dining restaurant in Manchester.

The Saturday Kitchen presenter, who earlier this year launched a restaurant at the Alea Casino at Clarence Dock in Leeds, is currently looking at sites in the city and hopes to open a new restaurant before Christmas.

"We are putting some ideas together at the moment, but there's three sites we're looking at in Manchester," Martin told the Manchester Evening News](http://menmedia.co.uk/manchestereveningnews/news/s/1453675_celebrity-chef-james-martin-to-open-fine-dining-restaurant-in-manchester-by-christmas).

"I know the city really well, my sister lives up near Bolton and I know that it will work geographically for me to get between here and Leeds when I'm working. It's on the route map of the next restaurant."

Martin opened the Leeds Kitchen by James Martin at the end of March on the ground floor of the casino. The menu is modern British with a focus on locally sourced ingredients.
