James Ramsden and Sam Herlihy's Magpie closed

Pidgin restaurateurs James Ramsden and Sam Herlihy have closed their Magpie restaurant less than two years after opening.

The 54-cover site opened in June 2017 on London's Heddon Street, off Regent Street, as a modern British interpretation of dim sum restaurants with diners choosing plates from a trolley. Ramsden was unable to comment or provide further details regarding the closure.

Pidgin in Hackney remains open with Greg Clarke at the helm, who joined the restaurant as head chef this week.
