Jamie Barber to open second Hush brasserie in St Paul's
London restaurateur Jamie Barber, owner of Hush in Mayfair, has announced plans for second Hush brasserie in St Paul's.
Plans to open the new 3,500sq ft, 140-cover restaurant in AXA Real Estate's 1 St Paul's development were revealed following the successful launch of Barber's first Hush brasserie, which opened in Holborn in June.
Work on the St Paul's restaurant will begin in March with a view to opening next summer.
The Hush brasserie at St Paul's will be open all day, serving breakfast, high tea and brasserie classics, while the interiors will be overseen by Alex Michaelis of Michaelis Boyd, who previously designed Hush Mayfair and Hush brasserie, Holborn.
Michaelis was also responsible for design at Barber's parallel restaurant group, Cabana Brasilian Barbecue, which is about to open a third site at Westfield London.
Barber commented: "This is a very special site, overlooking the steps of St Paul's Cathedral and I'm very excited to be bringing a touch of Hush to the City."
