Jonathan Segal's STK Rebel group to open in Boston

STK, the steakhouse group from British-born entrepreneur Jonathan Segal (pictured), is to open a site in Boston in the US, in late 2017, under the expanding brand name STK Rebel.

Parent company the ONE Group announced the news after signing an agreement to open site in the city's Seaport Square development. STK Rebel is an offshoot brand of STK, and will aim to offer the same atmosphere and style as usual STK sites, but at a more accessible, all-day price.

The venue will be 8,323 sq ft and will also feature an outdoor patio area.

In London, STK operates in the M.E. by MeliÁ¡ hotel on the Strand, and offers options such as "Lil' BRGs" made with Wagyu beef; lobster mac & cheese, and steak.
There are 12 sites under the STK brand across the US, Italy, Canada and the UK, while the group also operates Cucina Asellina and the Heliot Steak House in London, Bagatelle in Los Angeles and New York City, plus Asellina and the Gansevoort Park Rooftop in New York.

Segal, founder and chief executive of the ONE Group, said: "We are thrilled and honoured to be welcomed by Boston's hottest new neighbourhood. We believe that 2016 will be a year of major growth for our brand."
