Judges announced for the Global Restaurant Awards

A line-up of senior hospitality and media figures have been announced as judges for the Global Restaurant Awards, which are organised by the Global Restaurant Investment Forum in partnership with The Caterer. The awards ceremony takes place on 11 April in Dubai.

Judges include the BHA's Ufi Ibrahim; Peter Avis, The Roof Gardens; Robbie Bargh, Gorgeous Group; Iain Donald, Restaurant Consultant; Richard Vines, Bloomberg; and Simon Lazarus, Hilton Worldwide.

Mark Lewis, publisher of The Caterer, said "After a successful launch year in 2016 I'm delighted to see so many names from UK and European hospitality playing their part as standard bearers for the quality, diversity and excellence that have become the norm for European operators. Last year we were impressed by the quality of entries from all corners of the world and I'm excited to see European brands take their place alongside operations from the US, Asia and Africa in 2017."
