Jun Tanaka announces first solo venture

Jun Tanaka, former executive chef at fine dining restaurant Pearl, is set to open his first solo venture in London next year.

The chef, who previously worked at Le Gavroche, the Square and the Capital, is expected to serve up a menu of French and Mediterranean dishes that are designed for sharing.

There will be an emphasis on raw, cured and smoked dishes, wood roasted seafood and meats and seasonal vegetables.

The name and location of the new restaurant was not disclosed.
