Just Falafel announces plans for 200 UK sites
Fast casual falafel chain Just Falafel has revealed plans to open 200 stores across the UK over the next five years.
The company, which claims to be the largest falafel chain in the world, already has three London sites, and has a total of 33 around the world in locations including South America, Canada and the USA. A further 50 sites are set to open soon and it also has 800 franchises sold across 17 different countries.
The Middle East-based firm opened its first store in Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates in 2007.
Other target locations for the UK include Charing Cross, Croydon and Cambridge, all of which are set to open over the next few months.
When it started, Just Falafel had a menu of three falafel sandwiches, the menu has now expanded to include a range of global flavours in the shape of falafel sandwiches including American, Greek, Indian, Egyptian, Japanese and Italian versions.
Stores will be a mix of sit-in and take away formats with the average outlet size currently at 500sq ft.
