The business occupies a Grade II-listed building in the town, which is surrounded by countryside and is known for its narrow medieval streets and period properties.

The double-fronted property is typical of the Kentish weather-boarded and tile-hung buildings found along Stone Street and it retains its original beamed ceilings, an inglenook fireplace and oak flooring throughout.

The deli and coffee shop, which serves quality coffee, pastries and deli products, can seat 12 customers inside and another eight on the canopied alfresco seating area to the front of the property.

The Maidstone office of Christie + Co sold the leasehold to Fabio Evangelisti on behalf of husband-and-wife team George Oldfield and Anna Ferrara off a guide price of £120,000 with an annual rent of £8,400.
