Kings Place named Business Venue of the Year at BT Visit London Awards
Kings Place was last night named London Business Venue of the Year at the BT Visit London Awards, which celebrate the best of tourism in the capital.
The venue in King's Cross beat fierce competition from other major London venues, including ExCel London, the Barbican, Park Plaza Westminster Bridge, and the Science Museum.
John Nugent, CEO of Green & Fortune and Kings Place Events, said: "To have been shortlisted was impressive, but to have won the award among such esteemed competition illustrates the quality of our venue, people and product. To achieve this within the first two years of launching this business demonstrates our ambition and dedication."
Other hospitality businesses recognised in the BT Visit London Awards were the Cavendish London, which won the Sustainable Tourism Award, and the front-of-house team at the Renaissance London Chancery Court Hotel, which won the Outstanding Customer Service Award.
Meanwhile, the Large Hotel of the Year Award went to the Langham, with the Small Hotel of the Year Award given to the Egerton House Hotel. Covent Garden was named as London's top Gastronomic Experience.
