L'Autre Pied head chef takes ‘significant' share of business

Andy McFadden, the head chef of Michelin-starred L'Autre Pied, has agreed a deal to take a "significant" share of the business with owner David Moore.

McFadden joined L'Autre Pied as head chef in 2011, but had previously worked for Moore as junior sous chef at Pied à Terre until he left for the three-Michelin-starred Oud Sluis in the Netherlands (which closed in December 2013).

Moore said he hoped McFadden would stay with the business for longer as a result of the deal, and that the chef has ambitious plans for its future. The exact proportion of McFadden's shareholding has not been disclosed.

"We are doing the best that we can and giving him every support that we can to help him push forward. I hate to talk about pushing on the to second star but that is very much in his sights."
