Little Chef owner Kout Food Group snaps up South West Coffee

Little Chef's new owner Kout Food Group (KFG) has further expanded its presence in the UK market with the acquisition of South West Coffee.

The coffee group, which was named Costa Coffee's UK Franchisee of the Year 2010-11 and 2011-12, was bought by the Kuwaiti-owned company for an undisclosed sum.

The acquisition of South West Coffee marks KFG's first foray into the UK coffee sector and takes its number of employees in the UK to nearly 3,000 across over 160 stores.

Its portfolio of brands in the UK includes Little Chef, Burger King, KFC, Maison Blanc and Cha Cha Moon.
