Living Ventures launches 12,000 sq ft Artisan restaurant

Manchester-based bar and restaurant group Tim Bacon has launched Artisan, a new restaurant in a vast 12,000 sq ft space on the first floor of Tower 12, in Manchester's Spinningfields.

The look of the casual dining restaurant is described as "artist's loft studio meets concrete warehouse" and it offers a mid-priced rustic menu with flamed meat, fish and pizzas straight from two wood-fired ovens.

Executive chef, John Branagan and head chef are heading up the kitchen.

The restaurant also features a six-metre-long bar, serving cocktails, wines, spirits and beers.

Tim Bacon, Living Venture's chief executive, said he wanted to create something Manchester had never seen before. "It's the people, the art and the food, you should always leave with a story," he said.

The restaurant will be open all day, every day, serving brunch on weekends.

Living Ventures was founded in the late 1999 by Tim Bacon and Jeremy Roberts and now has over 25 sites.
