Local buyer for Oundle restaurant

Archie's restaurant, café and wine bar in the centre of the Northamptonshire town of Oundle has been bought by local resident Gavin Henderson, who formerly ran a restaurant in the town.

The stone-built unit is within a small retail development in the cobbled Crown Court, just off the Market Place.

It can seat 55 diners on the ground floor and another 75 in the open courtyard. The outside grill and bar area is popular in the summer while a semi-permanent marquee comes into play during the winter.

The Milton Keynes office of Christie + Co sold the leasehold off a guide price of £125,000 on behalf of Peter Smith.
