London Designer Outlet signs up two more hospitality operators
The London Designer Outlet (LDO), the 350,000sq ft retail and leisure centre set to open in Wembley City in autumn 2013, has signed two more hospitality operators.
The development, which forms part of the 87-acre redevelopment scheme around Wembley Stadium and Arena in north-west London, will include 85 retail outlets including 15 restaurants and bars, and a nine-screen Cineworld cinema.
The latest restaurant operators signed up to the LDO are chicken chain Nando's and Italian coffee shop Lavazza.
They join the Restaurant Group, who will open a Frankie and Benny's outpost at the centre, as well as Prezzo, Las Iguanas and burger chain the Handmade Burger Co. TGI Friday's already operates a restaurant at the development.
Phil Cottingham, head of retail at Quintain, said: "It is fantastic to have internationally recognised brands such as Nando's and Lavazza on board at LDO. Their presence is a major boost to our restaurant offer, increasing the emphasis on creating a leisure and lifestyle destination to complement the strong retail offer."
He added: "From the outset our strategy was to secure the leisure, F&B offer, and major anchor retailers before targeting the fashion and designer brands. LDO's location adjacent to two of the UK's most popular attractions and 20 minutes from Bond Street means that we will offer a diverse tenant-mix to cater for event-goers as well day-trippers, tourists and the local catchment."
