London restaurants to mark US Independence Day
London restaurants are putting on special menus and events today to mark America's Independence Day.
A selection of eateries across the capital are serving up traditional American feasts and Caterersearch has put together a round up of what's on offer.
The Big Easy on King's Road is adding special dishes including buttermilk fried chicken and classic red, white and blue margaritas. There's also a rib eating competition from 6.30pm and live music.
London's latest addition on the American dining scene, the resurrected Chicago Rib Shack in Knightsbridge, is celebrating by offering Budweiser, bourbon and cocktails at dollar prices. It's also serving an Independence Day breakfast and a rib tasting menu for lunch and diner.
Bodeans is serving up a special BBQ Sampler and a Family Feast at £17.76 per head, in honour of the original date of US independence (4 July 1776). The menu is available at all of its outlets until Sunday (6 July).
Inn on the Green in Notting Hill is hosting a bar and grill evening with traditional American entertainment including go-go dancing from cheerleaders, hillbilly comedy cabaret and country rock n roll.
Black and Blue restaurants are set out to reflect an authentic American steakhouse experience and are offering a selection of ‘vintage' dry-aged steak cuts. www.blackandbluerestaurants.com
