Ma Potters brings new concept Coal to the Welsh
Restaurant chain Ma Potters has launched a new brand, Coal Grill and Bar, to better attract the youth market.
Aimed at the early 20s to 30s age group, Coal is a conversion of an existing Ma Potters site in Cardiff's Old Brewery Quarter development.
Featuring a specially developed tapas-style grazing menu and streamlined main dish selection, the new outlet is designed to tap into Cardiff's vibrant bar scene and will be more wet-led than existing sites.
The group currently has the Ma Potter's Chargrill and M.A Potters Bar and Restaurant brands, and if successful Coal could replace the latter entirely to better differentiate the two offers.
Company managing director John Gater said: "Over the next few months we look at taking Coal to other locations where we feel a new Ma Potters might not sit so comfortably."
Ma Potters currently has 16 restaurants across the UK.
