Marco Pierre White to open restaurant in Nottingham
Marco Pierre White is set to open his latest restaurant in Nottingham next week.
The new Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar & Grill will be located at the city's Alea casino and marks the latest in a string of new openings for the former three-Michelin-starred chef and star of Hell's Kitchen. He last month opened a Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar & Grill at the £20m Hotel Indigo Newcastle.
The kitchen at the new restaurant in Nottingham will be overseen by head chef Richard Donohue. The menu will include crispy fried calamari and beetroot and goat's cheese salad with walnut dressing next to main courses from the fish board, grilled and roast meats and beef. Desserts will include box tree Eton mess, Cambridge burnt cream and classic bitter chocolate mousse.
White said: "I'm delighted with my new restaurant and being able to bring my vision of dining out to Nottingham.
"I've said many times that the future of dining out is affordable glamour. I think it's important to make the environment glamorous and friendly and I think it's important to make food affordable - really important because today my favourite restaurants are those that have a cross sector of society in them."
Mark Hands, venue director at Alea, added: "We're absolutely thrilled to have someone of Marco's calibre open one of his restaurants at Alea. It clearly demonstrates our commitment to continually bring the best to the venue and we're delighted to be open."
