Marcus Brownlow joins Drake & Morgan as property director

Marcus Brownlow has been appointed property director at bar and restaurant group Drake & Morgan, where he will drive the acquisition of new sites both in London and regionally in the newly-created role.

Brownlow has 25 years of property experience behind him, and a firm record of expansion in the catering industry. While at Coffee Republic he took the company's outlets from 30 stores to over 100 units; at Compass Group he directed locations for the group's specialist brands; and at SSP Partner UK, the UK's largest food retailer in railway stations, he opened 20 new sites in two-and-a-half years. His most recent role was head of acquisitions at Eat.

Drake & Morgan has announced plans for an outlet in Edinburgh, its first outside London and the third in its The Refinery by Drake & Morgan brand.
