Marianne Lumb to open 14-seater fine dining restaurant

Former Masterchef: the Professionals contestant Marianne Lumb is set to open one of London's smallest fine-dining restaurants.

Lumb, who was runner-up on the show in 2009, plans to open Marianne, at 104 Chepstow Road on September.

There will be just five tables accommodating 14 guests at each sitting.

Dishes will include courgette soufflé, steamed turbot with girolles and fines herbes hollandaise, and rhubarb tarte tatin.

Lumb aims to employ one waiter or waitress who may have to also work on kitchen preparation, and a maitre d'/sommelier.

Dinner will cost £48 for three courses and lunch will start £30 per head.
