Marianne Lumb's eponymous London restaurant closes

Marianne, the eponymous London restaurant of former Masterchef: the Professionals contestant Marianne Lumb, has closed.

Lumb, who was runner-up on the show in 2009, opened the 14-seat restaurant at 104 Chepstow Road in Notting Hill in 2013.

In June she announced on the BBC's Saturday Kitchen that she would be leaving the business in August to pursue other projects overseas.

At the time it was reported that Marianne would remain open with Lumb's deputy Miles Strotton at the helm.

But today it has emerged that the restaurant has closed and the website has been taken down.

The Caterer has attempted to contact relevant parties for comment.
