Mark Bloom and Barry Myers to bring Fayre Share sharing concept to London

The first of a new sharing concept restaurant called Fayre Share will be opening at London's Victoria Park Village on 14 May.

The restaurant is being launched by Mark Bloom and Barry Myers; Myers previously worked in catering after working as a chef, most recently as managing director of Pure Taste Catering, while Bloom is a former manager at the Wolseley.

Co-founder Mark Bloom said: "Our team grew up sharing meals with friends and family. We didn't just share the time - meals were about sharing our food and drink with each other too. We believe that this experience is such an important part of life, but we also understand that the pace of the modern world can get in the way of these moments.

"We wanted to provide friends and families with the opportunity to share not only meals, but all of the flavours of our classic British cooking too."

Luke Spencer, previously sous chef at Mark Hix's Tramshed, will be head chef, and has devised a menu celebrating British home-cooking. All dishes will be available for one, two or four people, including roasted beer chicken, arctic roll with jelly, Shepherd's pie, leek and mushroom pie, and a changing pie of the day.

Drinks will include Pimm's, British bramble cocktails, and gin and tonics served in teapots for sharing, well as local beers and soft drinks.

Fayre Share will be designed to have the feel of a home, will be open daily for lunch and dinner, and will also offer coffee, tea and cakes in the ‘lounge' area at the front of the restaurant.

A covered garden at the back of the restaurant will host heaters and a fireplace in the winter months, and the roof will retract for al fresco dining on warmer days.
