Martin Williams' M to open in London Victoria

Former Gaucho managing director Martin Williams is to open his second M restaurant, in London Victoria later this year.

The restaurant, members' club and wine store will be located in the Zig Zag Building alongside a sixth site from tapas group Iberica.

Williams said: "After such a successful opening in Threadneedle Street, I have been searching for the perfect location to open a new venue. Victoria stuck out as the area which is becoming London's most exciting creative hub. The demographic of residents and workers in Victoria suits our brand perfectly; it's a location in which I am sure our multi-faceted venue will thrive."

Land Securities retail leasing director David Atcherley-Symes added: "Over the past few years we've been leading a large-scale transformation of the area, introducing new restaurants and shops and attracting world-class companies to base their offices here. With its mixed offering, M is the perfect addition to Victoria and is sure to be incredibly popular with the people who work and shop in the area."

Other imminent openings in Victoria include sites for Jason Atherton and Will Ricker in the Nova development.
