MasterChef: The Professionals finalist Scott Barnard to leave Collette's for Crockers Chef's Table
Scott Barnard is to take on his first head chef position at private dining venue, Crockers Chef's Table in Potten End, Hertfordshire.
Barnard will leave his role as sous chef at Collette's restaurant at the Grove Hotel, in Chandler's Cross, Hertfordshire after Christmas, starting at Crockers on 31 January 2017.
Crockers Chef's Table is an intimate venue featuring a 10-cover chef's table. Guests can choose between a three- or seven-course tasting menu with matching wines.
Barnard's first menu will be available from February 2017.
Barnard said: "This is a really exciting opportunity for me to share my food with the locals of the Three Counties. What's more I will be cooking in front of the guests, so I am sure it is going to be fun and much more personal."
Luke Garnsworthy, owner of Crockers Chef's Table, said: "My wife and I have been overwhelmed by the local support we have received since we opened two months ago. Bringing Scott on board means that we can elevate the food further and provide an even better experience for everyone that eats with us."
Barnard began his career at Flitwick Manor as chef de partie. In 2006 he moved to the Compleat Angler in Marlow where he worked under Dean Timpson. In 2007 he started at the Grove.
In 2015, he made it to the final round of MasterChef: The Professionals, coming runner up to winner Mark Stinchcombe.
