Matt Dawson to front Springboard's culinary cruise

Hospitality charity Springboard has signed up former England rugby player Matt Dawson and four famous chefs for a culinary cruise on the Thames next month.

The Springboard and FutureChef Bateaux Bash will see Dawson joined by: Cyrus Todiwala, chef proprietor of Cafe Spice Namaste; Chris Galvin, chef patron at Galvin at Windows; Ben Duston, head chef at Bateaux London; and Graham Hornigold, head pastry chef at the Mandarin Oriental.

The four chefs will cook a gourmet dinner, teamed with four successful FutureChef alumni. Meanwhile culinary director David Mulcahy of Sodexo will manage the team on the night.

Sodexo is sponsoring the event which takes place at Bateaux London on Embankment Pier from 6.30pm on 8 June.

FutureChef is a national programme inspiring 8,000 youngsters aged of 12-16 to cook and follow a career as a chef.
