Me Love Sushi takeaway group opens first restaurant
Japanese take away concept Me Love Sushi has launched its first restaurant in north London and has plans for four more outlets across the capital.
The group, which currently operates three take away outlets in London and Radlett, Hertfordshire, has opened its first restaurant and bar in Swiss Cottage, featuring a 44-seat dining room as well as a 44-seat Champagne and sake bar.
Me Love Sushi has plans to open a further four restaurant and bar sites in the capital and has earmarked locations including Marble Arch, Islington and Maida Vale in central London.
The menu at Me Love Sushi offers a selection of sashimi, nigiri and rolls as well as noodle and rice dishes, while the bar offers a wide range of Japanese sake.
Nick Goldring, owner of Me Love Sushi, told Caterersearch the company's expansion into the restaurant sector has always been part of the business plan.
"The takeaway concept works well in the suburbs but we wanted to move further into central London and concentrate on the restaurant model," he said.
"We're in negotiations on a few sites at the moment and hope to open four sites next year, with a view to opening more over the coming years. Our casual dining without a conveyor belt offer sees us positioned in a niche of the sector."
