Michelin-starred chefs raise £86,000 for ChildLine

A group of Michelin-starred chefs have helped to raise more than £86,000 for ChildLine, the support phone line run by the NSPCC.

Adam Stokes (Glenapp Castle), Robert Thompson (the Hambrough), Adam Simmonds (Danesfield House) and Lisa Allen (Northcote) each cooked a course at the Great British Chefs Dinner, held earlier this week, to raise funds for ChildLine, which provides a 24-hour helpline and online service for vulnerable children and young people.

Speaking about the event, Ollie Lloyd, CEO of Great British Chefs, said: "We're delighted to have been involved in this wonderful event, raising vital funds for ChildLine. The chefs who cooked on the night are known for producing some of the most innovative and talked-about food in Great Britain, and we're absolutely delighted to have helped raise over £86,000 to help ChildLine continue its crucial work."

Mark Wood, chairman of the Great British Chefs Dinner committee, said: "All children need someone they can turn to when times are tough, and money raised through events such as this helps ChildLine be there for vulnerable children and young people in need of advice and support.

"It was fantastic to see these world class chefs come together in support of ChildLine, and we'd like to thank them and all of our generous guests who helped raise so much for this worthy cause."
