Michelin-starred Tom Aikens to open second Tom's Kitchen
Michelin-starred chef Tom Aikens is planning to launch a second Tom's Kitchen site in London's Canary Wharf.
Aikens, who holds a Michelin star at Tom Aikens in Chelsea, London, today confirmed he is in talks over a potential venue in Canada Square, with a view to opening in 2010.
Tom's Kitchen, which opened in November 2006, is a casual eatery located on Cale Street, just a stone's throw from the chef's eponymous Michelin-starred restaurant.
It comprises a ground-floor brasserie, first-floor bar and games room, and a private dining room on the top floor.
Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner until midnight every day, the menu is focused on British ingredients with occasional French and Italian influences.
Tom Aikens now operates three restaurants in Chelsea including the recently opened eco-friendly fish and chips shop Tom's Place.
