Miles Nixon becomes executive chef at Aubergine
The London Fine Dining Group has appointed Miles Nixon as executive chef of the Michelin-starred Aubergine in Chelsea and its sister restaurant in Marlow, Buckinghamshire.
Nixon, who has been head chef at Aubergine at the Compleat Angler since its launch last autumn, will remain in charge of the kitchen at the Marlow restaurant. Christophe Renou has been promoted to the role of head chef at Aubergine in Chelsea.
The promotions come after the departure of William Drabble, who has left after more than a decade behind the stove at the Chelsea restaurant to pursue other opportunities.
Drabble took over the reins at Aubergine from Gordon Ramsay in 1998. During this time he retained the restaurant's Michelin star and successfully launched the sister restaurant at the Compleat Angler hotel in Marlow last autumn.
Drabble's departure coincided with that of the London Fine Dining Group's marketing and operations director, David Herbert.
London Fine Dining Group managing director Paul Singer said: "London Fine Dining Group and David Herbert have decided to part company. David has left to pursue other business opportunities pursuant to the terms of a confidential settlement agreement."
