Minor fire scare at Heston Blumenthal's Fat Duck

An overheated light fitting resulted in three fire engines attending Heston Blumenthal's Fat Duck restaurant in Bray, Berkshire, in the early hours this morning (7 December).

Two fire engines from Maidenhead and one from Windsor attended the restaurant after a call at 1.47am reporting a light fitting sparking.

The power was isolated by the crews, who were on the scene for approximately half an hour to deal with the incident.

The Fat Duck resumed normal service today.
