Mitch Tonks reveals plans for three new sites in 2019

Mitch Tonks' Rockfish has revealed plans to open three more restaurants in 2019 in Exeter, Poole and Weymouth.

The Exeter Quay site will be the first to open on 18 March, with room for 90 covers indoors and 65 outside.

The expansion follows the securing of a seven-figure finance facility with HSBC UK.

Tonks said: "HSBC UK has been supporting us since 2015 when we consolidated our banking arrangements to better support our growth plans. In that time, we've opened two new Rockfish restaurants and have another three in the pipeline for this year, each of which will be supported by the bank. This latest funding round, put in place by our relationship director, Gareth Stephens, will help us continue on our mission to change the way people experience seafood in the UK."

Earlier this year the chef secured investment from asset management firm Gresham House Ventures and said he aimed to expand the five-venue group to 16 sites over a four-year period.
