Modern Pantry's Anna Hansen to be Harrods guest chef
Anna Hansen, chef proprietor of the Modern Pantry, is to become guest chef at London department store Harrods next year.
Hansen, who co-owns the Modern Pantry in Clerkenwell with restaurant group D&D London, will create an exclusive range of takeaway meals for Harrods, which will be available in the Food Hall for three months from 6 February.
Options will include individual dishes along full meals as well as a range of condiments, spices and breads from the Modern Pantry.
Hansen is the latest in a series of high profile chefs to have teamed up with Harrods including Chris, Jeff and Sara Galvin, and Richard Corrigan who this year opened restaurants at the Knightsbridge store, as well as Thomas Keller who last year ran a 10-day French Laundry pop-up.
Anna Hansen's Harrods menu will include:
Starters
Aubergine dengaku with pickled Asian mushrooms & braised cherry tomatoes
Harrods Jasmine tea-smoked salmon with black garlic, liquorice & macadamia crust, tomatillo salsa
Mains
Rose marinated poussin with roast plums & rose yoghurt
Slow roast pork belly with Cox's apple, fennel & sour cherry chutney
Desserts
Harrods Earl Grey tea pannacotta, rhubarb & mahlab compote
Rosewater & sour cherry chocolate brownie, rosewater yoghurt
