Mozzarella and More on King's Road hit by kitchen fire

Italian restaurant Mozzarella and More on the King's Road in London's Chelsea has been hit by a kitchen fire.

Four fire engines were called to the scene of the blaze, which started earlier this afternoon. It is now under control and no-one was hurt.

A section of the King's Road has been cordoned off as a result of the blaze, which is thought the have affected part of the kitchen and ventilation ducting.

In a statement, the London Fire Brigade said: "The blaze damaged a large part of the kitchen and caused severe damage to the restaurant's ducting (ventilation system). No injuries were reported.

"Four fire engines from Chelsea, Kensington, and Battersea fire stations were at the scene with 21 firefighters and officers. The Brigade was called at 1110 and the fire was under control at 1224.

"The cause of the fire is under investigation."

Mozzarella and More is part of the Made in Italy Group, which has seven restaurants across London.
