Nando's serves up dead frog in salad

A decomposed frog was found in a salad served to a customer in chicken restaurant Nando's.

Louise Rudd discovered the amphibian after she had eaten most of the dish at the Parrs Wood branch in Manchester in April, according to BBC News.

The salad had been supplied to Nando's by Salads to Go in Lancashire.

Nando's told the BBC that it made every effort to ensure food is served to the highest standard.

"We continue to work with all of our suppliers to ensure that they deliver to the quality and standards we expect."

Rudd, from Stockport, said she had been compensated by Nando's with vouchers for a restaurant of her choice. She was also invited by Nando's area manager to accompany him on a tour of Salad to Go's warehouse.

Manchester City Council' environmental health department is investigating the incident.
