New Greens restaurant is not in step with the times, says critic
Simon Parker Bowles's newly-opened Green's Restaurant and Oyster Bar in the City of London is out-of-step with the times, according to the Metro's food critic.
Marina O'Loughlin feels the old-fashioned dining room and menu of the sister restaurant to the original Mayfair stalwart is all nonsense.
Simon Parker Bowles "is the very definition of a gentleman," she says. "But, dare I say, one who's not entirely with the 2009 programme?"
Meanwhile the Evening Standard's Liz Hoggard recommends Mediterranean restaurant Yalla Yalla, with its remarkably cheap and tasty menu, as a great venue for a casual lunch or pre-theatre supper.
Time Out's Guy Dimond Guy Dimond says 23 Romilly Street offers a quirky charm and a mish-mash menu of retro dinner party dishes and comfort food.
