New maître d' for Aquavit London

Nordic restaurant Aquavit London, which opened in the St James's Market redevelopment in late 2016, has appointed Angus Agnew as maître d'.

Agnew joins with 22 years of experience of the hospitality industry, and has worked at the Square, Sketch, the Ledbury, Franco's, and most recently Villandry St James.

He said: "I operate passionately with a strong focus on guests needs, and I believe I will complement the existing team at Aquavit London who have worked tirelessly to open one of the most beautiful London restaurants of recent years."

Aquavit London has been brought to the UK by Philip Hamilton CEO of Aquavit London. The menu is overseen by Emma Bengtsson, executive chef of the two Michelin-starred Aquavit New York, and executed by Henrik Ritzen, executive chef of Aquavit London.
