New owner renames Exmouth café bar and restaurant

The new owner of the Olivants café bar and restaurant in Exmouth, Exeter, has renamed it the Point Bar and Grill.

The business, which lies adjacent to the Exmouth Marina entrance and near the new Marina development, commands views across the Exe Estuary and Dawlish Warren.

It was built in 2005 as three ground floor units that are combined into a single licensed operation that can seat 82 customers inside and more than 54 outdoors.

New owner Nick Hunt returns to his native West Country after working in sales and marketing within the drinks industry for the past 15 years.

He plans to refurbish the property inside and out and to offer breakfast, lunch and light bites during the day and a menu to cater for all tastes in the evening, making use of local produce such as freshly-landed seafood.

Stonesmith of Exeter sold the business off a guide price of £595,000.
