New owner sought for Seahouses restaurant

A popular regional restaurant in the heart of the Northumberland seaside resort of Seahouses is seeking new owners.

The Seafield restaurant took second place in the Restaurant of the Year 2006 awards at the Alnwick Food Festival.

The two-storey, stone property in Seafield Road currently seats 136 customers but could accommodate a total of 235.

Other facilities include an enclosed courtyard garden and three-bedroom owners' accommodation.

The Newcastle office of Christie + Co is seeking offers around £185,000 for the 25-year lease that was taken out three years ago.
