New takeaway brand launches in London

A new takeaway brand specialising in wraps is launching in London this March.

Wrap It Up! will open opposite the Bishopsgate entrance to the capital's Liverpool Street Station in the heart of the financial district.

The business will serve freshly prepared wraps priced at under £4 drawing on ingredients from around the world.

Aiming to offer an alternative to the usual high-street sarnie, 15 fillings will be available to start such as Shangahi Chicken, Mexican Beef fajita and Spanish salt cod brandade, as well as six wrappers/flat breads.

American chef Brain Danclair, previously head chef at Brixton's Moca restaurant, is creating the recipes, while designer David Pocknell and architect Kenny Sykes create the £600,000 site's look.

The new business is fronted by Afnan Bashir, previously a business development director for a KFC franchise and Faisal Haque, formerly a management consultant at KPMG.
