Noma appoints new head chef

The two-Michelin-starred Noma restaurant in Copenhagen has appointed Ben Ing as its new head chef.

Ing, who has previously worked a chef de partie at Noma, is replacing Daniel Giusti, who is moving on to other projects in America.

Ing will start by leading the Noma team at a pop-up restaurant in Sydney in January. Noma in Copenhagen will be closed until May 2016, when it will reopen with Ing in the kitchen.

He is originally from Ottowa, Canada, and started his career as a chef there before moving on to work for the Royal Mail in Australia and most recently Eleven Madison Park in New York where he was a chef de partie.
