Norfolk operator buys Tatler's fine-dining restaurant in Norwich

The new owner of the two-AA-rosette Norwich restaurant - which features in the Michelin guide and the Good Food Guide - is Charles Butler, owner of Butler's Café Bar in Holt.

Tatler's operates from a Grade II-listed three-storey Victorian townhouse adjacent to the cathedral in the historic quarter of the town.

It can currently seat 70 customers over two floors.

Tatler's will now by run by Butler's son-in-law, chef-proprietor Sean Creasey, who also runs the Holt restaurant and is known for his use of local Norfolk ingredients in his modern European menus.

The Ipswich office of Christie + Co sold the Norwich City Council leasehold, which runs to November 2020, off an asking price of £200,000 with annual rent of £25,000. It acted for the seller, Anneli Clarke.
