Omar Allibhoy to open a fifth Tapas Revolution restaurant

Spanish chef-restaurateur Omar Allibhoy is to open a fifth Tapas Revolution restaurant, this time in Sheffield in the Meadowhall shopping centre.

The all-day venue is set to open in March this year.

The menu is divided into five sections; el picoteo (nibbles), jamón y queso (ham), las verduras (vegetables), los pescados (fish) and las carnes (meats).

First launched in 2010, Tapas Revolution began at Westfield Shopping Centre in White City and now has sites at Bluewater shopping centre in Kent, London's Shoreditch and Grand Central (Birmingham).

Acorn Award 2012 winner Allibhoy also won the 2015 Entrepreneur Hall of Fame Award at last year's British Travel & Hospitality Hall of Fame event, presented by The Caterer and Travel Weekly.

He said: "Tapas Revolution in Meadowhall is my version of the tapas bars back home in Spain, that act as a social hub for the community as well as providing delicious traditional food. Sheffield has a great food scene that's growing and is gaining a really positive reputation. I wanted to get involved in the buzz happening there and bring a real taste of Spain to the north of England."
