Pizza Hut brings ‘secret' bacon stuffed crust to UK restaurants

Pizza Hut Restaurants has launched its bacon-stuffed crust in the UK as a "secret menu item".

After launching in the US last month, the new cheese and bacon stuffed crust option is now available across all 270 dine-in branches of the pizza restaurant chain.

The special crust option will cost approximately £1.75 more than the original cheese stuffed crust.

It is the latest item to join the restaurant's secret menu line-up, which has featured heart-shaped pizzas for Valentine's Day and beer-infused dough pizzas, trialled at the Finchley Lido Hut last month.

Kath Austin, director of HR and marketing at Pizza Hut Restaurants, said: "Pizza Hut launched the bacon stuffed crust in the US last month, and since then demand for this in the UK has skyrocketed. We received a huge influx of enquiries asking us if and when the bacon stuffed crust would be landing over here, so we were keen to launch in the UK as soon as possible.

"It took our team many hours to perfect the recipe for the UK market. We're always looking for new ways to surprise our customers and introducing appetizing new menu items always excites them. We can't wait to hear what they think of our latest creation."

Customers can order bacon stuffed crust when ordering any large pizza by whispering ‘bacon crust have' to their server.
