Poll: Is your restaurant starting to suffer because of the Olympics?

London restaurants are reporting a fall in trade as diners stay away due to Olympic overcrowding.

Some have been in touch with Caterer and Hotelkeeper reporting a significant drop in trade on the eve of the Games.

The operators we spoke to suspect this is down to people avoiding London due to the potential for congestion.

Richard, Earl of Bradford, the owner of Porters English Restaurant and Covent Garden Grill said that business was "even worse than we imagined."

He added: "The Games don't start until tomorrow, but already trade this week is massively down on the same time last year, whilst we are getting cancellations of bookings as people are heeding our wonderful Mayor's advice to stay out of Central London and to work from home, how did he think that his words would affect businesses, it must have been fairly obvious to most people?"

What is your experience? Is your trade suffering or are you busier than usual?
