Prezzo buys first new Caffe Uno site
Prezzo](http://www.prezzorestaurants.co.uk/) has acquired the first new restaurant for its Caffe Uno brand, which it acquired from Paramount Restaurants in August.
The firm has snapped up a 25-year lease on a 3,100sq ft site in a former Chicago Rock Café, now divided into three, on Charter Way in Braintree, Essex and is understood to be paying close to £85,000 per year.
Meanwhile, Richoux Group has acquired the adjacent unit for its Frankie's Easy Diner concept, which made its debut this April in Chatham. Richoux has taken 2,000sq ft also on a 25-year lease and is thought to be paying close to £60,000 per year.
Richoux Group recently announced that it would rename its Frankie's Easy Diner brand, although the new name has yet to be revealed.
Mark Calder of Restaurant Property, who represented both tenants, said: "Braintree seems to be acquiring a bit of a reputation for its lively leisure scene and attractive demographics for restaurant operators. We know of a number of other family restaurant groups who are keen to locate there."
